The 6h Exposition of New and Quality Species of Chinese Vegetables was held in Pudong New District on June 13. As one of the host units of the exposition, SHNU Development Center of Plant Germplasm Resources took part in the event and SHNU Vice President Liu Xiaomin spoke at the opening ceremony.
Agriculture departments, research institutes, agricultural universities, enterprises of vegetable transportation and processing as well as 2615 experts and representatives from over 20 provinces, cities and autonomous regions attended the conference.
In the past 2 years, the center has conducted various forms of industry-study-research cooperation and achieved obvious effects in the Experimental Base of Vegetable Research and Development.
Staff from SHNU Development Center of Plant Germplasm Resources demonstrated the planting of 10 cultivated varieties including spinach and tomatoes, the quality of which was widely acknowledged by experts in this field.
