SHNU: Mao Xuncheng Studio of Development Research Center (DRC) of Shanghai Municipal Government was inaugurated in SHNU on June 6. The ceremony was attended by over 60 professors and experts and officials from Shanghai Municipal Government, SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang, Vice President Liu Xiaomin as well as heads of relevant departments of the university.
Zhu Ziqiang expressed his gratitude to the support of DRC on behalf of SHNU and briefed the development of SHNU, especially the College of Finance and Business. “Mao Xuncheng Studio is the first research center of SHNU at the municipal level,” he said, “We will go all out to work for the construction and development of the studio. We also hope to get more guidance and support from the government.”
Xiao Lin, director of the Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal Government, extended his congratulations on the set up of the studio and his satisfaction about SHNU’s work of disciplinary construction and talent cultivation. He unveiled the plaque for the studio together with SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang.
Prof. Mao Xuncheng, Dean of SHNU College of Finance and Business and head of the studio, said that a practical three-year research plan would be worked out to further improve the studio and complete the research work assigned by the government.
Mao Xuncheng Studio will act as another high-level platform for the disciplinary construction of SHNU in Finance and Urban Economics. Its research centers focus on the development and management of regional finance. Within three years, the studio plans to build three big databases. With the help of big data analysis and research technology, the studio will carry out a series of development plans and policy research, focusing on utilizing the development of new finance to boost collective innovation in small and medium sized enterprises.
