Professor of College of Arts of Yale University Speaks at SHNU Masters’ Forum

SHNU：On June 2^nd, Henk van Assen, professor of College of Arts of Yale University spoke at SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum on the invitation of SHNU College of Fine Arts. It was hosted by Executive Dean of SHNU College of Fine Arts.

 

Professor Assen started by talking about the influence of his birthplace Netherlands and his artist father on him and introducing about his rich experience of learning designs. By analyzing cases of book designs and word typesetting, Assen encouraged students to seize more opportunities to create more works.

It is noted that Assen would kick off a work camp themed Series of Post: Film-like Designs at SHNU College of Fine Arts from May 25^th to June 5^th.

 

Graduated from Netherlands, Assen graduated from Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (NL) and Yale University (US). With over 25 years of abundant education experience, he founded HvADesign Workshop in New York, serving the fields of word design, book design, post design and dynamic type design, etc.
