SHNU: A lecture entitled University Governance and Administering the University under the Law was held on April 20. Zhan Zhongle, professor of law from Peking University, was invited to deliver the lecture to more than 150 SHNU cadres. SHNU Party Secretary Teng Jianyong presided over the lecture.
Referring to his research in university charters and governance system, Prof. Zhan talked about modern university governance and institutional improvement using abundant cases and rigorous logic. He also interpreted academic power and professor committee system and gave further advice on how to establish professor committee system in colleges.
As the experimental unit of modern university system of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, SHNU is now probing into a regulation system with University Charter as the core and is further improving the inner management structure.
