Sponsored by China Translators Association, China Translation and Publishing Corporation, the semifinal of the 4th National Interpreting Contest (English, Shanghai Division), was successfully held in Shanghai Second Polytechnic University on 12th of April, and 3 SHNU students from Foreign Languages College were awarded for their good performance.
The semifinal was divided into two halves, Chinese-English interpreting in the morning and English-Chinese interpreting in the afternoon, covering hot topics in economy and politics in the current society.
With its authoritativeness, fairness, transparency in media, and public credibility, the National Interpreting Contest has drawn great attention from people in different fields, and attracted a large number of English lovers from universities all over the country.
