SHNU: More than 70 SHNU deans and directors of departments visited New York University Shanghai for latest experience of innovation and education patterns. Among them Were SHNU Party Secretary Teng Jianyong, SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang, SHNU Vice Party Secretary Qin Liping, Ge Weihua and SHNU Vice President Ke Qinfei. President of NYU Shanghai Yu Lizhong introduced the basics of the university and specifics on development of innovation talents. He centered on two topics, namely, why setting up NYU Shanghai and what does NYU Shanghai bring to us. He also briefed on the evaluation standards and methods on candidates enrolment and shared the latest experience of reforms in students’ learning assessment. Founded in October 2012 and located at Lu Jiazui Finance and Trade Zone, NYU Shanghai is cosponsored by East China Normal University and NYU and aims at developing international creation talents of global vision and cross-cultural exchanges. Now, the number of bachelor’s degree candidates is 600 and another 150 students from NYU. |
