SHNU: Former SHNU President Yang Deguang attended the Commendation Meeting of Advanced Collectives and Individuals of Retired Cadres of Shanghai held in Shanghai Exhibition Centre on March 25.
Yang was commended at the meeting as the advanced retired cadres for his contribution to charity work. He made a speech entitled Be a Happy Man with Mission and Integrity that was well received at the meeting. Together with other old cadres, Yang was received by Han Zheng, Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Yang Xiong, Mayor of Shanghai. Yang, as one of the representatives of the national advanced collectives and individuals of retired cadres from Shanghai, was warmly interviewed by President Xi Jinping in Beijing last November. |
