SHNU: March 5th was the traditional Lantern Festival of China. The SHNU organized a series of activities to express the season’s greetings and good wishes to all those financially challenged students who were far away from hometown and could not afford their tickets to be back home.

.
During the dinner, over 150 students from various colleges started to make glutinous dumpling (the feature food of China Lantern Festival) with the directions of cafeteria cooks. Though lacking proficiency, the students still enjoyed the process of celebrating the festival on campus.

With red lanterns creating warm festive air, the antithetical couplet written on scrolls augmented the glamor of Chinese traditional culture. Working out the puzzle and handcrafts of lanterns all attracted the students on this special occasion of Chinese New Year (Usually, the Lantern Festival signaled the last day of Chinese Lunar New Year).
