Leaders of SMEC Celebrate the Spring Festival Together with SHNU Students Staying on Campus

SHNU: On February 17th, leaders from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC) Yuan Wen and Shanghai Students' Affairs Center Wang Jingyi came to SHNU and expressed their sincere greetings to SHNU students, among whom there were undergraduates, post graduates and international students that would spend the Spring Festival at the university. SHNU authorities including Teng Jianyong, Zhu Ziqiang, Ge Weihua, Gao Jianhua and Ke Qinfei as well as leaders came to have lunch and held a party together with these students to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year.

In the opening speech, Yuan Wen, Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, spoke highly of the achievements SHNU had made over the past year and extended New Year blessings to students that still stayed at the university during the winter vacation.

On behalf of the university, SHNU Party Secretary Teng Jianyong and President Zhu Ziqiang gave warm wishes to the students and their family and hoped they make more progress in the year to come. Together with words of blessings came a package of New Year gifts for each student, including a dinner card, a phone card, and they could also enjoy a comfortable free bath and watch the Spring Festival Gala together.

The party was simple but filled with laughers. Excellent shows from international students, Chinese students and even the school leaders won a great applause and brought the party to a climax.
