It is exciting to know that Professor Li Zhaoguo, Dean of SHNU Foreign Languages College, was selected as one of the 10 outstanding figures in foreign-language related work of Shanghai in 2014. This is the first selection of eminent talents majoring in foreign languages organized by Shanghai International Studies Association.
Li’s prize announcement is: He has English as major, traditional Chinese medicine as philanthropic work and studies of Chinese ancient civilization as his career. With lofty aspirations, he attempts to make a perfect combination of the east and west, the past and present through his study in Sinology, human science, translation studies which integrates civilization, culture and literature.
