Overseas Students Show Chinese-writing Competence in the 5th Essay Contest of ICCS

SHNU: In the awarding ceremony of the 5th essay contest of overseas students of International College of Chinese Studies (ICCS) that was held on May 28, 18 students were awarded the first, second and third prizes.

The college leaders issued certificates of honor and awards to the winners. The titles and authors of the 3 first prize winners were My Mother by Zou Xiuqing from Indonesia, Reading China and Tasting Shanghai by Bao Shuixian from Italy and Growth by Huang Jingyao from Malaysia.

Yao Zhanlong, deputy dean of the college, extended congratulations to the students and expressed gratitude for those teachers who organized and guided the students in the contest. Huang Jingyao, representative of the winners, said the contest aroused their interest in Chinese study and he hoped that more activities of this kind could be held.
