SHNU: On May 21st, a team of 20 people from USC (University of Southern California) visited SHNU and was received by SHNU President Assistant Mao Xuncheng. It was also attend by teachers’ and students’ representatives from SHNU Graduate Department, Department of International Affairs, SHNU School of Education and College of Humanities and Communication. Dr. Lv from SHNU School of Education introduced about the details of Shanghai Preliminary Education Teacher Training and PISA programs analysis. During the time of interaction, such issues were discussed, such as the divergences in Sino-American preliminary education, development of teaching majors, adaption training of new teachers and teacher evaluation, etc. The USC delegation was also shown around Key Lab of Resource Chemistry funded by China Ministry of Education, Shanghai Key Lab of Rare Earth Functional Material, and SHNU Library. Ranking 23rd among American universities by US News, USC signed cooperative agreement with SHNU in 2013. Until now, 10 postgraduates have been sent to exchange in the USC for two months. |
