SHNU: The opening ceremony for the 2014 SHNU Contest of Integrated Skills in Foreign Languages themed “Diversified Culture•Colorful World” was held on Fengxian Campus on May 7. Over 200 teacher and student representatives from 16 colleges attended the ceremony.
After the opening ceremony, Prof. Gu Daxi, former Dean of SHNU Foreign Languages College, made a lecture in English on “How to Study English”. He started with his own English studying and teaching experience and encouraged all the students to master the English language. Gu’s witty talk won laughers and applauses from the audience from time to time. This time the contest includes lectures, academic activities, exhibitions, as well as English-speaking contests. |
