Young Teachers of SHNU Invited to Perform on a Special Concert of Bangor University

SHNU: The young couple, associate professor Shen Lin from Music College and teacher Zhao Xian from Xie Jin Film and Television Art College of SHNU, were invited to perform in a concert with the theme of Music Dialogue between Wales and China together with Gwenan Gibbard, the famous harferner and singer in Wales, and Andrew Lewis, the famous composer in North Wales and professor in Conservatory of Music of Bangor University.

    Musicians from the two countries staged a music feast, which is a cross-cultural interplay of traditional and electronic music. Audience of the show included leaders from the Chinese embassy in the UK, the Confucius  Institute of London University, and the Confucius Institute of University of Edinburgh in Scotland. This performance has been recorded in the cultural exchange memorandum between China and Wales.  
 
    In the warm applause of the audience, Shen Lin and Zhao Xian sang a Welsh folk song for the encore, and finished the Chinese folk song the Jasmine, with Ms Gibbard, pushing the concert to a climax.
