SHNU: The QS World University Rankings, short for QS rankings, list the annual ranking of universities across the world from Quacquarelli Symonds, an organization founded in 1990 and establishing itself as the leading global provider of specialist higher education and careers information and solutions. In the 2014 list of global universities, SHNU ranks 378th according to the number of cited academic papers. This rank of SHNU has surpassed some of the top universities of China, including China Renmin University. The QS rankings evaluate from mainly 5 aspects, namely, 40 percent of academic peer review, 10 percent of recruiter review, 20 percent of faculty student ratio, 20 percent of citations per faculty, and 10 percent of international orientation.
