SHNU: The I Urban International Academic Symposium and the 25th Anniversary of EURICUR (European Institute for Comparative Research) were held in the EUR (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam) from April 9th to 13th. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei and the Principal of EUR Huibert Pols are elected as the chairmen of the council. Professor Mao Xuncheng led a team to join the 25th Anniversary of EURICUR, and met Professor Van Der Pijil, the executive principal of EUR to sign the agreement on SHNU, EUR and EURICUR. The agreement would further promote cooperation between SHNU and EUR in fields of urban research. As one of the 25 cooperative programs between Shanghai and Rotterdam, SHNU and EUR co-founded EURICUR with the guide of the former mayor of Rotterdam Ivo W. Opstelten. The EURICUR is the first international cooperation institute built in Asia and also the first international cooperation institute created by SHNU.
