SHNU: On March 27, members of the SHNU branch of Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) of Shanghai gathered to discuss the approved project of 2014 SORSA think-tank series in the university. The project is about the new development of the reform on language education.
SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei, also Chairman of SHNU branch of WRSA, presided over the discussion and introduced the background and meaning of the project. The discussion focused on such topics as the influence of English teaching upon Chinese language study, Chinese Language moving into international society, the openness of Japan in English education, and the integration of French-speaking countries and the English world. Leaders and professors from SHNU Foreign Languages College were also invited to the discussion.
Vice Chairman of the association Wu Xiaqin introduced the work plan for this year, including a music concert in Mid Autumn day and a photo exhibition to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of the university.
