SHNU: On invitation of SHNU College of Fine Arts, Luo Qing, professor of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) recently visited SHNU and spoke at SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum. As a well-known painter, poet, literary critic and ancient painting connoisseur in Taiwan, Professor Luo delivered a theme speech on Poetry and Painting for the majors of painting, calligraphy, and arts education on March 17th. Luo probed on the relationship between poetry and language and encouraged students to train their imagination to learn poetry better. He detailed on the leap forward from imagination to creativity from his understanding of how Taiwan students create poems. At the end of the speech, Luo showed to the audience some scenic painting by some famous painters of ancient Chinese dynasties. |
