SHNU: On March 14th, 2014, Professor Huang Zhonglian from Heilongjiang University came to Foreign Languages College and gave a lecture on foreign languages-Chinese translation to the teachers and students majoring in translation of FLC. President of FLC, Professor Li Zhaoguo attended the lecture, and Vice President, Bu Youhong hosted the lecture. Professor Huang Zhonglian, famous national translation theorist, now is the professor and doctoral supervisor of Heilongjiang University. He has plentiful academic achievement in translation, and he has published over 100 academic papers, among which 70 were published in more than 20 core periodicals at home and abroad. During the lecture, Professor Huang talked about the current situation and the future perspective of foreign languages-to-Chinese translation. And combined with typical translation cases in Guangming Daily, the lecture cast a new light on how to understand our Chinese Language on both literary and cultural aspects. And Professor Huang put emphasis on the importance of realizing the inter-lingual meaning and pragmatic meaning during the translation works. At the end of the lecture, Professor Huang appealed to everyone to dig out the beauty of our Chinese Language and know its cultural background well so that we can discover the charms of it as well as the translation.
