The university will show a 3D movie The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, this Wednesday. This is the first 3D movie show in SHNU.
The second in a trilogy of films adapted from the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien---The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oaken shield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
It was preceded by an unexpected journey and will conclude with There and Back Again, and together they will act as the prequel to Tolkien’s "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, also directed by Jackson. The trilogy traces the adventures of hobbit Bilbo Baggins, as he attempts to help a group of dwarves regain their wealth from the dragon Smaug.
