SHNU Teachers of CI Participate in the International Day of the University of Missouri

SHNU: It is reported that 3 SHNU teachers of the Confucius Institute of the University of Missouri took part in the fifth international day of the university on September 25. 

 The MU Vice President Dr. Handy William made a speech on behalf of the university. He introduced the CI to everyone present and sang high praise for the positive influence of CI upon the education, trade and life in Columbia. The Chinese dean and teachers of CI were also invited to appear on the stage, attracting attention of the media, teaching staff and students present.

The international day of the University of Missouri was announced in 2008 by its president to be on the fourth Tuesday of each September. It involves such activities as national flag display, international gourmet festival, local and foreign art performances, etc. It aims at promoting the international awareness of MU teachers and students and enhancing their acceptance and identification of different cultures.
