SHNU: The Sixth High-Level Consultation Summit of China-UK Minister of Education and China-UK University Presidents Roundtable were held at Lancaster House of London on October 27.
On behalf of the university, SHNU President Zhang Minxuan attended the summit and made a keynote speech entitled The Present Situation and Prospects of Educational Cooperation between China and UK at the roundtable.
Later on the same day, Zhang signed the letter of intent on educational cooperation with National College for School Leadership, UK.
The next day, at the invitation of the Ministry of Education of UK, Zhang gave a report to the officials there entitled Results and Reflections PISA 2009 and Basic Education in Shanghai.
Zhang also paid a special visit to Nottingham and had a further discussion with the university on bilateral cooperation, according to which the two sides are going to start cooperation in terms of president training, scientific research and scholar exchange, etc.
