SHNU: To mark the bicentennial anniversary of birth of Hungarian pianist Liszt, SHNU College of Music cosponsored with Hungarian Consul in Shanghai to hold Wu Yi Piano Recital at Shanghai Music Hall. It was also attended by consulates from Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Russia, and Argentina.
Wu Yi, a reputed Chinese-American pianist, SHNU part-time professor, staged quite a few masterpieces for the audience and appended each song on the list with his annotations. His artistic style impressed the listeners with his unique tones and control of finger power through which a sense of reflections, sorrow, passion, romance and splendor could be extended from his performances.
Wu’s art interpretations were greeted with resounding applause from the audience.
