SHNU: Prof. Taniguchi Isao, President of Kumamoto University (KU), paid a visit to SHNU on May 6. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei received the guests and extended cordial welcome to them.
Lu introduced SHNU’s recent achievements in international exchange and cooperation. He also shared with the visitors SHNU experience in promoting international communications. Prof. Taniguchi Isao spoke highly of the frequent cooperation and profound friendship between the two universities.
Ever since April, 2008, when the two universities signed an intercollegiate exchange agreement, great achievements have been made in scientific cooperation and student exchange. Up to now, more than 20 students from both universities have been involved in both the long-term and short-term exchange programs. Besides, two professors from KU have been invited to deliver lectures in SHNU.
SHNU President Li Jin and Party Secretary Zhou Honggang have both visited KU in recent years.
