Vice President Jiang Mingjun Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Southern Utah University (SUU)

On the morning of October 9, Dr. Stephen Allen, Vice President of Southern Utah University (SUU) and Director of Asian Recruitment and Programs of the university, along with Helen Foster Slope, the SUU Cultural Center Director, visited Shanghai Normal University (SHNU). Vice President Jiang Mingjun attended the meeting and signed a memorandum of cooperation with SUU on behalf of SHNU.

 Jiang Mingjun acknowledged the positive efforts of both universities over the past year—the summer short-term study program in China and exchanges in the field of mathematics have achieved substantial breakthroughs. He expressed hope for further deepening cooperation, advancing practical projects in student exchanges, faculty visits, and scientific research collaboration, jointly building a broader international exchange platform to contribute to the cultivation of high-quality talent with a global perspective.

Stephen Allen expressed his deep appreciation for the friendship between Chinese universities and thanked SHNU for its proactive efforts in promoting exchanges between the two institutions. Subsequently, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the specific arrangements for mathematics students' study and internship programs in the United States. Finally, Jiang Mingjun and Stephen Allen signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of both universities.

Southern Utah University is located in Cedar City, the largest commercial and cultural hub in southern Utah, USA. Established in 1897, it is a public comprehensive research university renowned for its programs in flight training, business administration, performing arts, nursing and pre-medical studies, education, and electrical engineering.
