Glazunov Conservatory of Russia Probes Cooperation with SHNU

SHNU: On January 12, 2011, a delegation led by the Head of Petrozavodsk State Glazunov Conservatory (PSGC) of Russia, and the meritorious musician of Russia, visited SHNU and was received by SHNU President Li Jin and Vice President Lu Jianfei.
Both sides emphasized the Cooperation Program of 2+3 (that is, students spend the first two years in SHNU before studying in PSGC for the rest three years), and discussed the preparations of dormitories, short-term language training, and visas.
It is noted that the first 23 students would start their three years of learning in PSGC in 2011. The Russian guests met the candidates and enjoyed the students arts performances, and answered questions that the students put forward.
As the only conservatory in north Russia, PSGC ranks 6th in the 11 conservatories of Russia. The PSGC has departments of piano, composing, orchestra performances, singing, opera stage arts, music, and Finnish folk music, chorus and conducting, folk music and melodrama, etc.
