SHNU: On May 27th, Barry Synder, a world famous pianist, was invited by SHNU College of Music to visit and speak at SHNU Xuesilu International Scholars’ Forum before he held a master’s class and a concert. He was also conferred commemorate copper plate and a seal by Zhong Shi, executive dean of SHNU College of Music.
Themed The Concept of Tone in Various Music Styles, professor Synder centered around the topic of tones to detail on the differences of tone in various periods: from Baroque to classic times to romanticism and impressionism. In his concert, the audiences could not only experience the splendor of the Baroque, but also the sentiments and tenderness of romanticism.
The teachers and students of piano majors from SHNU attended the seminar and concert.
