SHNU: Sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and British Ministry of Education, the 2nd round of Chinese-English math teacher exchange program was held in SHNU on September 8th, involving 68 teachers from 34 British schools and 68 teachers from 39 Chinese schools. The participants also included SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang, Vice Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission Ding Xiaodong, and Vice Director of Department of Curricula and Standards of British Ministry of Education Joanna Mackie.
SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang welcomed the visitors and introduced to them the details on how SHNU has served Shanghai primary education, train middle and primary school teachers and start international cooperation and exchanges.
Zhang Minxuan, director of the Shanghai PISA program (Program for International Student Assessment), analyzed the experience and good performance drawn from Shanghai primary education development. In the following two weeks, more items of in-depth exchange and discussion would be on the go between teachers from China and Britain.
