From September 17th to 18th, 4,078 new graduate students from all over China entered the campus of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU), officially embarking on a new journey of academic research.
Lin Zaiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of SHNU, Zhu Huijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SHNU, Jiang Mingjun, SHNU Vice President, and Chen Heng, SHNU Vice President, arrived at the registration site to inspect on the scene. They had cordial exchanges with the new graduate students of the class of 2025 and sent their blessings to the students who celebrated their birthdays on the day of registration. The SHNU leaders and teachers also provided detailed Q&A and warm interaction at the welcoming ceremony.
The Graduate School, Graduate Student Affairs Department, and various colleges of SHNU have thoughtfully prepared freshman gift packages and distinctive cultural and creative gifts.
At the freshmen welcome event, joy and warmth are advancing in sync. New students and their parents take group photos in front of landmarks such as the school gate, using these photos to capture this important moment of starting their new school life. Each commemorative “group photo of the whole family at SHNU“ has become the first gift that the school presents to every new - student family.
The registration day runs efficiently and smoothly. Each college has carefully arranged welcome sites and divided functional areas to ensure a smooth enrolment process for new students. More than a hundred graduate student volunteers received early training, and arrived early on the day of the welcome, providing guidance, answering questions, and assisting with the entire process of transportation for the new students.
