In order to carry out the national education policy, cultivate more talents gearing to the social needs and improve SHNU students’ cross-cultural communicative ability as well as foreign language ability, the university now offers opportunities of studying abroad:

1. Bridgewater State University
Number of students:5
Time: August,2014 to June,2015
Qualifications:
(1)Sophomores of undergraduates or first-year postgraduates, majoring in Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Business etc. 
(2)Undergraduates: TOEFL IBT 61/ TOEFL PBT 500/TOEFL CBT 173, IELTS 6.0
     Postgraduates: TOEFL IBT 79/ TOEFL PBT 550/TOEFL CBT 213, IELTS 6.0
(3)GPA 2.5 above
(4)Good physical and mental health
(5)Able to afford the fees during study in the U.S.

2. The State University of New York at Oswego
Number of students:2
Time: August,2014 to June,2015
Qualifications:
(1)Sophomores of undergraduates or first-year postgraduates, (It’s hard to find suitable course in Business, Biology, Chemistry, so students majoring in those majors are not recommended for this program)
(2)TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.5
(3)Good physical and mental health
(4)Able to afford the fees during study in the U.S
* 3-6 self-supported students can be recruited in this program with the same qualifications, but they need to pay part of the fees (about 4000 dollars each semester)

3.  Washburn University
Number of students:8 (4 for Business, 4 for other majors)
Time: August,2014 to June,2015 (one semester or a whole school year are optional)
Qualifications:
(1)Sophomores of undergraduates or first-year Business or Law postgraduates 
(2)Good command of English, TOEFL or IELTS score is preferred;
     Biology, Chemistry or postgraduates: TOEFL 82 or IELTS 6.5
(3)Good physical and mental health
(4)Able to afford the fees during study in the U.S.
 * Need to pay part of the fees (about 4,500 dollars each semester, for Business Major 4,800 dollars each semester)

4.The University of West Florida
Number of students:4-8
Time: August,2014 to June,2015
Qualifications:
(1)Sophomores of undergraduates or first-year postgraduates, Mathematics major preferred  
(2)Good command of English, with TOEFL or IELTS score preferred; TOEFL or IELTS score is required for postgraduates, specific standards are subjected to the requirements of the Graduate School of the University of West Florida.
(3)GPA 3.0 above
(4)Good physical and mental health
(5)Able to afford the fees during study in the U.S.
 * Need to pay part of the fees (undergraduates: about 3,500 dollars each semester, postgraduates: about 4,000 dollars each semester)
