On Selecting Postgraduates to USC for Internship and Communication

Now the university begins to select postgraduates to the University Of Southern California (USC) for internship and communication.

1.  About the program
This program includes observing lessons in USC and doing internship in a middle school in America, which will last about 2 months.
The lessons to be observed will focus on the basic education in America, the educational ideas, teaching reform and so on. And the internship in the middle school will be carried out through class instructions and extracurricular activities. The aim is to improve the skills in basic education.

2.  What kinds of students can apply for the project?
Students who can apply for this project include full-time postgraduates working for Master of Education, with the major of Curriculum and Teaching Methodology, or other majors of education, and with Teaching Certificate. The discipline background includes: Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Geography, Music and Fine Arts.

3.  Requirements for applicants
 1) With integrity and excellent academic record
 2) Having solid skills of basic-level education
 3) Proficient in teaching and communicating in English
4) Having good ability in interpersonal communication and team work
 5) With enough credits and the approval of the tutor.

4. Arrangement
1) Expenses: the university will pay for the cost of learning and internship, tuition and accommodation, while the students will pay for the return ticket and the living expenses in America
2) Time Arrangement: from June, 2013 to August, 2013. The internship will last for 2 months
3) Number of students to be selected: 8 to 10

5.  About the Selection
Deadline of Application: Nov. 19, 2012.
Time of Interview: before the end of November, 2012.
