To SHNU Colleges and Departments: The projects of SSFC cover 23 disciplines and are categorized into key projects, general projects, and youth projects. For the first two categories, the applicants should be at least associate professors or the equivalent and have worked as the director of a general project of SSFC. The applicants for the youth projects should be under 39 (born after February 25th, 1973). For those whose professional title is below associate professor or the equivalent, should be recommended by two experts above the title of associate professor. The disciplines of pedagogy, arts and military science are not included this time, but would be organized into different projects. The funds for key projects would be RMB 250,000 Yuan, and RMB150,000 Yuan for general and youth projects. The completion deadline for fundamental theoretical research is 3 years and can be prolonged according to specific needs. The director of SSFC project should apply for only one project per year. Those who have not finished the project of either the National Social Science Foundation or the National Natural Sciences Foundation.are excluded.
