On Opening Cultural Lectures in Confucius Institutes Abroad

 Those who are interested can fill out the “Form for Collecting Cultural Lectures in SHNU Confucius Institutes Abroad” and send it to yyang@shnu.edu.cn by the 30th December. Chosen candidates’date of dispatch will be announced once selective work is completed.In order to promote Chinese culture, strengthen international understanding and further develop the Confucius Institutes in terms of teaching faculty, curriculum and textbooks, SHNU has decided to select teachers to deliver a series of academic lectures in Confucius institutes abroad.

Requirements:
•The content of the lectures should be concerned with traditional Chinese culture, faithfully reflecting China’s modern economic and social development.
•The major fields include literature, history, philosophy, education, arts, physical education, economics, tourism, administration and so on.
•The lecturer will be required to deliver lectures of similar topics 2 or 3 times in English or Japanese (about 2 hours each time)within a week during the year 2011 and 2012.
 
Target universities:
Confucius Institutes in Fukuyama University, University of Botswana, and University of Missouri (when established)
