In order to enrich SHNU students’ summer holiday life as well as improve their cross-cultural communicative ability, the university now offers culture-exchange programs with Japanese universities. The detailed information is as follows:
1. Summer Program with Yokohama City University (lessons delivered in English)
The Theme of this program is Frontier Life Science towards Global Health. The curriculum includes 7~8 life-science lectures and several visits to Kamakura and Tokyo. The program will last from August 14 to August 21, 2010. Program tuitions and accommodation expenses are free. Two SHNU junior or graduate students with CET-6 Certificate will have the chance to take part in this program.
2. Program with Kumamoto University (lessons delivered in Japanese)
The program includes Japanese-related classes, cultural experience and visiting activities. It will last from July 25 to August 7, 2010. Accommodation expenses and tourism insurance expenses are free while program tuitions and other expenses should be paid. Two SHNU students with JLPT-3 Certificate and basic Japanese skills will have the chance to take part in this program.
The application deadline for the two programs is June 15, 2010
