2008-2009 Application for the Sino-America Fulbright Scholar Program

According to Sino-America Education Exchange Agreement, China Scholarship Council (CSC) plans to designate 40 scholars to America for academic research. SHNU will continue to make recommendations of candidates this year. The relevant information is as follows:

1. The type of program of recommendation is “Sino-American Fulbright Scholar Program”, the research fields being limited to humanity, social science, management and law.
2. Requirements:
• No experience of studying or doing long-term academic research in U.S. in the past 4 years.
• Between 35 and 50 years of age, associate professor or full professor.
• With a doctoral degree or over ten years of teaching experience, adequate academic and professional capability,  relatively high  proficiency in English language, and the ability to conduct independent research work in America.
• Good health
3. Those who have studied abroad with financial support from state scholarship projects must have 5 years of  working experience after returning home from abroad before they can apply for this program again.
