SHNU: Hosted by SHNU, the International Academic Symposium on Global City Group and Tourism Development was held in SHNU. It was also co-sponsored by Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal Government, Urban Tourism Research Base of China Tourism Research Institute, Future Cities Research Institute of EU, Comparative Research Institute of European Cities, National Tourism Research Academy of Netherlands, Dutch Consulate in Shanghai, KUL (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), Breda university in Holland, Shanghai Tourism Bureau, and Nanjing Tourism Committee, etc.
At the conference, SHNU Vice President and Dean of SHNU College of Tourism Kang Nian exchanged memorandum of cooperation with KUL (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), and Breda University in Holland. At the same time, the Comparative Research Institute of European Cities Shanghai Branch and Global Tourism Think Tank were launched.
Altogether 17 speakers delivered speeches at the conference. It aims at promoting the process of globalization of Shanghai.
