SHNU: On January 6th, Martin Kern, professor and Dean of East Asian Department of Princeton University in the US, visited SHNU and spoke at SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum at SHNU Comparative Literature and World Literature Research Center. Themed Text Detection and Origins of Chinese Political Philosophy, the speech attracted teachers and students from various SHNU colleges. Mr. Kern was conferred the memoir copper plate and inscription stamp of Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum after the speech.
Professor Kern explored the topic from different perspectives and drew conclusions thought-provoking to the audiences. After the speech, free yet pleasant academic exchanges were conducted between the speaker and the listeners.
