SHNU: On December 22nd, the 2016 SHNU Christmas & New Year Party drew to an end and involved the participation of overseas scholars and students representatives. It was also attended by SHNU Vice Party Secretary Qinfei Ke who expressed her thanks and care to the audiences who choose to learn or work in SHNU.
Ke was quoted in her speech as saying that 400 students of SHNU have been sent to 76 universities or institutions in 18 countries or regions to further their learning or internship in 2016, and another 600 students are in various short-term programs overseas. This year, 2,502 foreign students were enrolled in SHNU, with 271 undergraduates, 91 master’s degree candidates, 42 doctor’s degree candidates and 868 short-term learning students. 55 visiting groups from 19 countries or regions arrived at SHNU and 17 international conferences were held in SHNU in 2016. Also, 23 international cooperative agreement were signed with 19 universities or research institutes.
At the party, different shows were staged, including Chinese traditional musical instrument performances of Pipa and bamboo flutes, as well as martial arts and singing performances. At last, dancing party presented by Vietnamese girls pushed the show to a climax. Vigorous and bubbling atmosphere filled the party.
