Professor of UA Speaks at SHNU Overseas Masters' Forum

SHNU: On December 19^th, George K. Georgiou, professor of Educational Psychology from University of Alberta of Canada, was invited to visit SHNU and spoke at SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum with the theme of Cross-linguistic Research in Reading: Chanllenges and Great Opportunities. The speaker was awarded the gift copper plate from Professor Huixian Xia, Dean of College of Education.

 

Boasting long-term experience in children’s reading and linguistic development, Georgiou acts also as the part-time researcher of Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus. He encouraged teachers and students to take better steps towards cross-cultural research while briefing on the current challenges and opportunities in reading and linguistic development.
