SHNU：The Conferring Ceremony of Shanghai Research Institute of Culture and History (SRICH) was held on December 12th and 14 new librarians received the certificates from the May of Shanghai, Xiong Yang.
Founded in June, 1953, the SRICH mainly invited influential and reputed scholars of culture with outstanding academic achievements to become librarians. So far, the domains include literature and history, calligraphy and painting, drama, TCM, arts performances, publishing and laws, etc. Altogether 1, 211 members are invited.
The SHNU scholars invited to be SRICH librarian also include Professor Xun Sun from SHNU E Culture Research Institute and ancient literature expert from SHNU College of Literature and Communication Xu Cao. The new SHNU member Professor Gongqin Xiao becomes the third scholar of SHNU to receive the honor.
