SHNU: On invitation of SHNU College of Math and Mechanical Engineering and SHNU Key Lab of Cosmology, Sandra Faber, honorary professor of astronomy and astrophysics from the UCSC, visited SHNU Xuesihu Overseas Masters’ Forum and delivered a speech themed Cosmic Knowledge and the Long-term Strategy of the Human Race. It was hosted by the Dean of SHNU College of Math and Mechanical Engineering.
Professor Fabor started by the early period of the Cosmo, and described the formation of constellation and galaxy and the functions of astronomical telescope in the cosmology. After that, she answered questions from the audiences.
Fabor is now the academician of the three largest academies of the US.
