SHNU:The new round of Sino-British Math Teachers Exchange Program started the training part at SHNU Conference Center on October 3rd to 7th. It involved 70 math teachers from 43 primary schools to attend the training. It was also attended by Minxuan Zhang, the program director and SHNU International Comparative Education Research Center and education experts from various universities of Shanghai.
Professor Zhang briefed on the background and influence of PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) ever since 2009, and the significance of initiating the Sino-British Math Teachers Exchange Program. Apart from professional seminars for the trainees, the program also offers abundant model practices by sharing field experience and observations on classrooms.
The official start of the exchange program would take place on November 7th. At that time, 71 British primary school math teachers would have their two-week study in SHNU. Also, Shanghai counterparts would arrive in the primary schools of UK for exchange activities.
