SHNU: Dr. Margo O’Sullivan, Director of Education and Children Development Department of UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) China Affairs, visited SHNU Institute of International and Comparative Education on September 5th and 6th. The visitors also include 10 experts from Beijing Normal University and the UNICEF.
The guests were received by Minxuan Zhang, Director of SHNU Institute of International and Comparative Education. Two reports about the teacher construction of Shanghai middle schools and primary schools were delivered to the visitor, which won much praise and gave rise to heated discussions about the reforms and developments related to teacher education in Shanghai. The visitors also (visitors were also shown around) observed the No. 1 Primary School of Tianshan Road, a key school of Changning District, Shanghai.
At the end of the two-day visit, Dr. Margo O’Sullivan expressed her strong will to establish further cooperation with SHNU in terms of education programs.
