SHNU: Bruce E. Rittmann, Dean of Environment and Biological Technology Center of Arizona State University in the US, academician of NAE (National Academy of Engineering) and internationally reputed environment engineering expert, was invited to visit SHNU and delivered an academic report themed From Treatment to Resource.
By starting from sustainable development in the realm of water disposal in environmental sciences and engineering, Professor Rittmann explored his mechanism of recycling of water resources and energy. He listed a series of cases to expand on the production of methane and recycling of phosphorus to generate electricity. He led the audiences to experience the most pioneering development of modern environmental sciences.
