SHNU: On May 18th, “A Bite of the World”-the 2nd International Gourmet Festival was held on the west campus of SHNU.
Students from nineteen countries participated at the festival. They cooked the traditional food of their own countries and invited the guest to taste. Then, the guests voted for the ones they enjoyed best, and foreign students can win different kinds of prize for their cooking. Finally, students from Indonesia came up as the champion.
Many participants said that they were delighted to join in the festival and communicate with other students. The guests would not only taste different foods, but also understood different cultures. Furthermore, it would promote the communications between different countries and their cultures.
As an important part of the World Culture Week, the gourmet Festival was of great significance to enrich the lives of foreign students, and boosted their passion in studies here.
