SHNU: Sponsored by the World Bank and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Global Preliminary Education Development Forum, themed Sharing Experience on Shanghai Preliminary Education Development, was held at Pullman Hotel of Shanghai. It involved more than 130 education officials to attend, including those from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Rwanda, etc.
At the ceremony, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Wen Tiehui, SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang and Chinese Director of World BankBert Hofman, delivered speeches respectively. It is expected that Shanghai could serve as an example to offer experience for education worldwide after challenges and problems were pointed out.
The forum attracted attention of a large crowd of media and was reported by such well-known media as Xinhua Agency, Jiefang Daily, Wenhui Bao, China Youth Daily, and STV, etc.
