SHNU: SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang led a delegation to visit the headquarters of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Edinburgh Napier University before he signed a strategic agreement of cooperation with Taleb Rifai, the General Secretary of World Tourism Organization of the UN, as well as the interscholastic exchange framework agreement with Edinburgh Napier University.
President Zhu briefed on the development of SHNU College of Tourism in terms of higher education and the program of building a think tank of China and world tourism research. He also introduced a few influential academic activities sponsored by SHNU, such as “the First International Conference of Metropolis Tourism”, “the Global Urban Forum: Shanghai 2050 --- the Rising Global City”, and the publishing of Chinese Tourism Development Report of Chinese cities, etc.
The participants also included Xu Jing, Director of Asian Affairs Department of UNWTO, Carlos Bogeler, executive secretary of UNWTO, and Yolanda Perdomo, and the Director of Affiliated Members of UNWTO, etc.
