SHNU: On April 9th, the opening ceremony of 30th Anniversary of SHNU Qiushi Inscription Association was held at Changshuo Cultural Center. It attracted audiences from various artistic research organizations and residents in the neighborhood.
Qiushi Inscription Association signed the cultural co-construction agreement with Xinhong Residential District at the Opening Ceremony and donated works to contribute to the collection as exhibits. This marks a special display of the creations in the past three decades. The exhibits will also be on display at other museums, such as Qingpu Museum and SHNU museum. At the same time, it is decided that university seminars on campus associations and inscription study will be initiated should be founded.
Qiushi, which is the homophones for truth-seeking and autumn- harvesting in Chinese (meaning seeking truth and work hard, is one of the few professional inscription associations in Shanghai. Lectures, salons and interactive experiences will be provided to local citizens to popularize and promote the Chinese traditional art. Special courses will be regularly offered to students at Xuhui and Fengxian Campus and social practices will be organized to attract more young people to understand and learn the inscription.
