Shanghai Opera Staged at SHNU Xiafei Theatre

SHNU: On April 6^th, Deng Shichang, the new Shanghai opera was staged at SHNU Xiafei Theatre, which attracted SHNU teachers, students, retirees and even neighboring residents to arrive for the show.

Shanghai opera is an outstanding local opera and was included in non-material cultural heritage protection list in 2006. The show Deng Shichang takes the backdrop of Sino-Japanese Navel Battle in 1894 and the plot of a heroic figure Deng sacrificing for his dream of a stronger nation and better military power.
