SHNU: Recently, the National Funds Programs of Social Sciences owned by SHNU have welcomed a rapid rise in number. The last five years (2011-2015) witnesses a total number of 127, about 2.26 times that of the period from 2001 to 2005. Apart from that, the foreign translated works program and philosophical and social academic research results programs have broken the zero tally.
During the period of 2011-2015, SHNU ranks 19th among universities in China, and 4th among teacher’s universities and No 1 in municipal teacher’s universities.
SHNU would be supposed to focus on further innovation in cultivating the core competitive edges and creating new mechanism of academic strengths of fundamental disciplines.
